A film Brazilia 35. elnokenek, Luiz Inacio Lula de Silva-nak (roviden Lulanak) a fiatalkorat, illetve politikai karrierjenek kezdetet dolgozza fel. Annak ellenere, hogy sok kritika fogadta az elkeszult filmet (a kimagasloan magas keszitesi koltseg, ami elerte a 17 millio realt, valasztasi kampanyfogas, a szemelyi kultusz erositese stb...) nekem tetszett a tortenet.  

Mint minden politikust, Lulat is lehet tamadni kevesbe jobb donteseiert, korrupcio vadjaval illetni vagy a bunozessel valo meg mindig nem eleg sikeres harcert biralni, de teny, hogy o volt Brazilia eddig egyik legnepszerubb elnoke es kormanyzasa hetedik evetol Brazilia gazdasaga vegre fellenduloben volt. 

Lula politikaja nemcsak az orszagon belul de nemzetkozi szinten is nepszeru volt, ot magat pedig karizmatikus egyenisege miatt kedveltek az emberek.

Szegeny gyokerei adtak azt a kepesseget, hogy szimpatizalni tudjon a legszegenyebb retegekkel, es az alapot arra, hogy szocialis programja legyen a fo vonala az altala alapitott Munkaspartnak.  

A film errol szol, hogy honnan is jott Lula, de ad a nagyon szomoru kepet arrol a Braziliarol is, ami pont Lula kesobbi programjanak a kozeppontjaba kerult: a munkanelkuliseg csokkentese, a jovedelmek novelese, es ezaltal a melyszegenyseg felszamolasa.

Lula, son of Brazil is a biographical film based on the early life former Brazilian president, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

Despite of loads of criticism upon its release (the budget was over 17mil reais, it was accused as election propaganda, or some observers in Brazil noted the film was a cult of personality) I personally liked the movie because it shows mainly the early life of Lula as well as the beginning of his political career also giving a very sad picture of the poverty of North of Brazil at that time.

Coming from humble roots has given Lula the ability to sympathize with the poorest of the poor giving him an edge over his opponents and keeping the support of the majority. Lula`s pragmatic approach to his presidency and the upward swing in the national economy have resulted in him being accepted more widely among the Brazilian people.

During his presidency unemployment has dropped and per capita earnings have increased substantially. 

Coming from the poorest part of Brazil and building up the Workers` party`s social projects, the movie shows the road of Lula which led him to be one of the most popular president of Brazil of all time.
